Angelo Antonucci graduated in Philosophy with a thesis in Psychology of Film and Television Communication at the University of Naples Federico II.
PhD in “Cinema and Philosophy” at La Mancha University Castilla Toledo.
He attended “Ipotesi cinema” Center directed by Ermanno Olmi, as well as various film technique courses. Active Member of ANAC – National Association of Film Authors.
He made various documentaries and made his debut in 1994 with the low-budget 35mm feature film “ Strade – The choices of life ” successfully presented at various festivals and acquired by RAI International.
In 1998 he wrote and directed the TV series ” God created us free ” for Mediaset-Canale 5 with Nino Manfredi and Leo Gullotta, achieving notable audience success.
Since 1999 he has directed various film, television and theater acting courses and film and television directing courses at the ASCAPI Entertainment Academy in Caserta for over 350 students. You direct various documentaries including: “Masaniello 1647-1997” and “Città di Casagiove”. President of LUCTA – Free University for cinema, theater and performing arts.
He wins various awards including: ” Ente de Curtis Award ” Best debut director, “Artists of the Mediterranean” Award, Totò Award 2003 City of Valmontone (Rome)
In 2002 he directed Lando Buzzanca, in the theater, in “ Miles Gloriosus ”.
In 2006 he directed Franco Nero and Beppe Barile in the short film “Etica dell’Omicidio”.
He wrote and directed the historical film “ Masaniello – Love and Freedom” with Franco Nero, Anna Galiena, Sergio Assisi (2004-06) prod. Factory srl – SFI srl, presented in numerous international festivals including: Annecy Cinema Italien, TIFF – Toronto, Mons, Miami, Tetuan, AJFF – Ajaccio. In 2008 he wrote and directed the film ” Nient’altro che noi” on the topic of bullying with Philippe Leroy, Antonella Ponziani, Claudio Botosso, Francesca Rettondini. In 2010 he directed the film about young people and alcoholism entitled ” I wish I had you here” with Patrizio Rispo, Nina Soldano, Philippe Leroy, Katia Oliveto. DAC Distribution – MEDUSA Film spa.

In 2012 he won the “Writing for cinema” award – Mirabella Eclano (AV)
In 2013-14 he wrote and directed the film on stalking ” With all the love I have ” with Cristel Carrisi, Barbara De Rossi, Sandra Milo, Fabio Ferrante, presented at the 37th edition of the Professional Film Days of Sorrento.
In 2015 he wrote and directed the film ” Camminando nel cielo ” with Luca Mordenti, Sandra Milo, Vincenzo Soriano, Mario Porfito, Antonella Ponziani, presented as a special event at the Giffoni film festival 2015.
In 2016-2019 he wrote and directed 7 short films financed by Nuovo IMAIE.

In 2020 he is the artistic director of the independent film festival NIFF London (UK).
He writes and directs the historical docu-fiction “ Gry of freedom ” (Calabria film Commission).
He is the administrator and artistic director of the production and distribution company Elite Group International srl of Rome, registered in the MBAC Ministry Register no. 3235 and the DAC film promotion association – Diffusion of cinematographic art.
